We had a group of 7. We’ve all been to Pappas in the past and decided to spend our holiday gathering there because of our past experiences and Papas reputation for steaks. Last night missed the mark. The ribeye was rubbery and difficult to chew. The medium rare filet was nice and pink, but dry and had little to no flavor.

We got the crab cakes. Definitely one of the best appetizers i’ve ever had. We also ordered a 6 ounce, 12 ounce filets, au grout potatoes, and mac and cheese and they were not as good as I expected. Our server was also not the greatest. I’ve definitely tried better steakhouse than this. Overall rating 7.5/10 Thanks!

I have been to Pappas Brothers Steakhouse many times but mostly to the Galleria location. We chose those location because the other one was booked. The food was excellent as always but the service was underwhelming. I ran out of my iced tea multiple times and had a lengthy wait before it was refilled. The last refill my glass was taken and never returned. The attentiveness to detail that I am used to at the Galleria location was not present at the downtown location so I would say that the Galleria location was far superior.

Pappa’s Bros. Steakhouse is always a wonderful evening out . Crabcakes are incredible. Scallops were slightly overcooked and beware the garlic bread has a sneaky pepper flavor! Steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. Sides are large enough for 3 to 4 portions. The new Brussels Sprouts were tasty. Wine prices are ridiculously high for people not getting their bill picked up on a business entertainment account. But overall the a fabulous experience!

Just another overpriced Steak House. Food quality was good. The wines way overpriced, also the service felt rushed , not attentive. Maybe is me, but the first thing I order is the bottle of wine. The appetizers came before the bottle ( to me and my wife , a dinner out is about enjoying the moment and conversation, not just eating in a rush), I’m used to tasting the wine with a clean palate but if we didn’t start eating the appetizers they would have been cold by the time the wine arrived. The rushed server came in again and asked if we were ready to order , at that point, still waiting on the wine bottle. Again, maybe is culture shock for us, but if I want to be rushed at dinner a high end steakhouse would not be the place.

Unfortunately this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at this restaurant. Server could not have been slower. Very inattentive and made mistakes that should not happen at this restaurant. Filet was great as always but tomahawk was not a great piece of meat. Sides were solid as always as were the crab cakes and shrimp.

Great experience... delicious food..service was excellent. We were placed in room off of main dining room where it was quieter. Main dining room was a little noisy. So we appreciated the quieter room. The only thing I would say that could have been better is that the bread served was NOT already in small slices.... You kinda had to tear off a piece and it was not USER friendly.. They could take a lesson from Landry's Seafood Restaurant in how to serve the bread at the table. Other than that, all was outstanding. We had the octopus appetizer....the BEST octopus appetizer I have ever had and we have tried MANY. The steak was perfect and the salmon was outstanding! The valet parking is kinda tricky...cuz it is on McKinney city street and with a lot of traffic, the valet area really tends to "bottle neck"....so better to go really early or really late for dinner... Excelent service. For the first time in a steakhouse I left a piece of steak on the plate because I was too full. Very well done meat and seasoning was good

Pappas Bros Steakhouse is absolutely my FAVORITE steakhouse in Houston. I've been to many as that is how me and my husband celebrate our anniversary, and we now simply return to Pappas because it's so wonderful. The food is always excellent, and the service is superb.

We had a great dinner and service with our waiter George and our sommelier Dylan. Everything was prepared to our request and the food was great.
