    I found that food execution was on point all around. I felt that seafood never was in competition with other components in the dish. The seafood was treated as the star and the rest of the dish played a supporting role. The food was amazing, service was awesome; however, they didn’t have an espresso machine and no digestives, which was odd for the caliber of experience we had.

    We were at Passionfish New Year's Eve dinner for 2 when the restaurant was VERY busy. All the staff working very diligently at high speed but with great care and service oriented. The owner was on the floor working as well. They are very conscious of food allergies and have an allergy menu. Our server, Paola, was well versed in ingredients in various dishes and was familiar with wine offerings. Our food was very well prepared and quite delicious. A wonderful place to enjoy a good meal with good service and ambience.

    Nice location. The vibe was a bit too pretentious for us. Overall good value for the money and the food was very good. Service was a bit slow and "snooty". I would probably not go back again.

    As always the quality of the food and wine selection was outstanding. Service was robotic and mediocre. I believe we were forgotten on what was a busy evening so wine was served nearly 20 minutes after it was ordered. This continued through out our courses.

    My friend and I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We had requested an end seat on a banquette and the restaurant was crowded but we were accommodated. The menu provides so many choices that it was hard to decide but we opted to split one of the several salads (the beet salad) which was fresh and tasty and had a very nice dressing, we also tried the buttermilk biscuits which were absolutely delicious!; for entrees I had scallops and my friend had the special fish of the night (sea bass), both were very nicely prepared and presented and tasted really good. We skipped dessert because we had some leftover dessert of our own back at our hotel. The wine list is extremely creative and interesting and provides quite a wide array of choices from around the world, we opted for a red burgundy to complement our fish and we enjoyed it very much. we both agreed that we would definitely return!!!

    Our favorite restaurant when we come down to Monterey from SF. In the many decades we’ve eaten here we’ve never been disappointed. This time we brought my daughter’s family who were visiting from NY. They loved Nancy’s biscuits with the crispy, salty exterior and flaky tender interior. The two lamb dishes were excellent (shank and breast (short ribs)), with interesting sides (cassoulet, barley). Highly recommend.

    The rainbow trout was delicious! And my husband loved the Alaskan halibut.

    Delicious innovative unique flavors. Excellent attentive service. The wine list is very well curated and is not heavily marked up. Would love to come back! This place has been around for some time and it’s great to see them hold up their brand!
