   We loved the ambience and service by Cosh. The beet and burrata appetizer was excellent. My wife’s wagyu beef was the toughest wagyu imaginable. My filet was over cooked and dry. I can grill a filet at home that is better. I did not care for the house steak sauce. Our sides were excellent. We finished with the famous coconut cake which was totally outstanding. Overall we enjoyed the meal but it missed our admittedly high expectations.

   One of the best meals I have had. Period. Hard to say it’s a great value based on expense but for us it was well worth it. We had filet, swordfish, and tile fish. All were exceptional.

   We were celebrating our 38th anniversary and everything was spectacular. The service was excellent, the food sumptuous and the atmosphere was very cozy. Towards the end of our meal we did need to request water refills , but that was the only hiccup. Our overall experience was very good to spectacular.

    My wife and I were in Charleston for research and preliminary work for our son's upcoming wedding. After a long drive, we were looking forward to a relaxing, special dinner that we have not been able to enjoy for some time. My wife and I have been lucky enough to have eaten is several of this country's best restaurants as well as a number around the world. We are happy to add Peninsula Grill to (our) this list. The decor and ambiance of this restaurant is simple and classic elegance. When making the reservation, we asked for a quiet table as my hearing is poor. This was easily accommodated but the noise level was low and subdued anyway making for easy conversation and not cramped or crowded near another table. The service was extraordinarily attentive but without intrusion. We received great advice and recommendation from our server. Similarly, the Sommelier - with truly impressive background training and restaurants on her resume- gave us a wonderful wine suggestion. We were also glad to see that (most) other guests did take the dress code seriously for a restaurant of this caliber and quality showing what a truly special experience it is. We recommend Peninsula Grill without hesitation.
