We have lived in Charleston for 2 years and my daughter 15 years. This was the first time for any is to dine here. After trying many other restaurants in Charleston , we were sadly disappointed. The scallops were the best! The sauce and presentation delicious. The beef filets were nothing exceptional. I had the swordfish and it was dry and tasteless. In comparison to other high end restaurants in Charleston . I would put this on the bottom of our list especially with what we paid. The only reason I would go there would be to buy a piece of their coconut cake which is exceptional. And you can get that on take out. It has a quintessential Charleston feel which would probably be the draw for an out of town customer. But the food just was a disappointment!

Wonderful evening for our anniversary. The service was impeccable. The she-crab soup, and scallops and grouper entrees were creative and delicious.

Great dining experience in a very elegant setting, without feeling stuffy. Peerless service. The grouper (on a bed of succotash) was a touch dry, but the overall dish was creative and tasty. The she crab soup was superb. We will return.

Always great food and impeccable, friendly service. Our waiter, Paul, knew our name, was helpful with the menu and wine selection. Justva super place for a special dinner

Visited here years ago and remember it being great. We frequently get the famous coconut cake from their cafe next door. Unfortunately the food was just ok, steak was good but for the price there are much better options such as Halls, Oak, etc which are much better. Sides were just ok, Brussels were subpar and mashed potatoes were good but nothing special. Again if you’re in town would recommend somewhere else for dinner but stop in for the coconut cake which is exceptional.

Outstanding in all ways. Swordfish and filet were done perfectly and , of course, the coconut cake was to die for

I have eaten here many times. This time was somewhat disappointing. Service was exceedingly slow and disorganized.. One of the drinks was made wrong and had to be sent back. I'm pretty sure it was made by someone who doesn't regularly bartend. They did not appear to have adequate staff for the number of tables. Food was vey good. They still get that right at least.
