Water Wheel Tavern is an historic Bucks County landmark originally built in 1714 by John Dyer, an English Quaker. It existed for centuries as a water wheel driven grist mill, and later hosted both a post office and a general store.     We each had the turkey dinner, which was delicious. It included a generous portion of white meat turkey with gravy, dressing, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots. We also all had hot tea and our server gave us sugar and lots of lemon slices to use, and offered refills if we wished. For dessert, two of us enjoyed the cranberry orange cake which was served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. One of our party was celebrating a birthday, and our server brought him a brownie with whipped cream and a candle. Both the hostess and server were very cheerful and pleasant, and we all enjoyed having lunch here.

    Great staff! We had a reservation through Open Table and were running late. We called the restaurant and they were more than accommodating. The food is always on point. Cocktails are still great, but I miss the Hat Trick drink. #bringitback …please!
