Callie represents Chef Travis Swikard's debut solo project after spending a decade working alongside the esteemed Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City. The restaurant’s name, "Callie," comes from the Greek word "kallos," meaning "the most beautiful," and embodies its blend of Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and terroir, from sea to land from San Diego, Swikard's hometown. In 2022, Callie was acclaimed as one of America's top new restaurants by Esquire and Robb Report, and received both a Bib Gourmand and a Plate from the Michelin Guide. Callie is a dedicated supporter of Feeding San Diego, having contributed over 1 million meals to those in need in San Diego since its launch.     Absolutely loved the energy and warmth of the restaurant! The dinner was outstanding. Extremely flavorful and creative, my only suggestion to make the dining experience top tier would be stronger dessert options. The servers were extremely helpful in making quality decisions, very attentive. Upon entering the restaurant would love a little more energy from hosts but doesn’t take away from the incredible atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back! Thing I found my new favorite restaurant.

    Calamari, roasted vegetables, salad and pizza all very good. Pistachio gelato delicious. Torta Della Nonna was more like a cheesecake but that is just my opinion as I make my own more like a custard. Still enjoyed and good. Service was wonderful. We will be back.
