Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous fried chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. The rest of the South is well represented as well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles, crispy fried oysters and a pimiento cheese & sausage biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and cheddar grits.

Walk in's are welcome! Group larger than 8 people can contact us directly for unlimited custom packages. Food and Beverage Minimum spend $45 for a la carte for larger groups. We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 12pm to 9:30pm. We are a small family owned Italian restaurant, which takes pride in serving delectable meals to our guests. Our outdoor patio is covered. Due to limited seating we cannot guarantee your reservation will be assigned indoors, and hold your table for more than 10 min past your reservation time. $20 no show fee per person will be charged.We are a scratch kitchen, all our (vegan) pastas, breads, desserts, sauces, salad dressings are homemade. Everything was delicious and well paired, for example the gravy really enhanced the fried chicken rather than overpowering it or making it soggy. Mac and cheese was just the right richness and texture. Cocktail was very tasty. Presentation of everything was thoughtful. Generous portions. I was super impressed with the quality, especially for a casual come-as-you-are restaurant. Would definitely come back if we lived in Portland!

Great service and food. You can never go wrong here. The only negative is that the tables are permanently affixed to the floor. They squish you against the wall if you are an average or above person.

I have been coming to Jake’s since 1984 when I lived in town and when I visit… I don’t know how, but somehow, it’s still the same wonderful vintage yesterday year elegant restaurant. It has always been in the food remains superb. The service is impeccable. The Landry’s corporation has done a great job in allowing Jake’s to retain its unique and distinct personality.
