Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Trully gastronomic and chic ambiance, even though no dress code is required. Very nice place for couples and romance. Healthy and tasty! Lots of non-alcoolic beverages (includig non-alcoolic wine and mocktails )

We got to choose our own seats. Service could have been a bit better, but maybe we're used to something a little different. The place is laid back. The food was delicious! If we could have eaten more, we would have. The brunch choices were varied enough that you could get a little taste of everything depending on what you ordered. We will be repeat customers.

Great food options. Drinks were good. The service was excellent. Our waitress was super sweet and the entire staff was very welcoming. I was on a first date and she toasted with us lol. We really enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance was perfect. We went on a Wednesday evening.

Service and flavors were very good. Only issue that we experienced was that we had 3 different entrees that had chicken. Though flavors were great, the chicken in all 3 dishes were very dry.
