Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Walk-in guests are welcome to enjoy the bar area as well.The Dabney has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2017, James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic for Chef Jeremiah Langhorne in 2018, and Washingtonian Magazine's #1 restaurant in 2023. Chaplin's Restaurant & Bar is a 1930's style Japanese Ramen House and cocktail bar. Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. Chaplin's Restaurant demonstrates the aesthetic of a bustling ramen house in Japan in the 1930's silent film era. There is also a large outdoor dining area that is dog friendly. Chaplin's is located in the heart of the Historic Shaw neighborhood. And it is open until last call 7 days a week. Chaplin's received a Plate certification in the Michelin Guide in 2020. We ate at Mita for their unbelievable Tasting menu for my birthday. It was an absolute production from the moment we walked in until we were escorted out the door. We have eaten in 5 star Michelin restaurants in major cities all over the world, and Mita fits in every well with them. Each time we thought it couldn’t get any better, another amazingly creative, delicious dish showed up to wow our senses. The food was beautifully plated and the servers are experts at the placement and description of them. The entire experience was one for the record books. My birthday was perfect.

Was such a wonderful night. The restaurant was full but not so loud that you could not enjoy the conversation with your group. The food was outstanding. We could not stop talking about how cool it was that all of the ingredients came from the mid-Atlantic part of the USA. Service was wonderful. Cannot wait to go back again!

Great food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. And the specials are reasonably priced. Ordering ala carte could get expensive, but still great food.
