The Canal Bistro is the realization of a dream for Mona and George Hanna. George's homeland is Egypt; Mona spent her first 23 years in Lebanon. They know Mediterranean cooking. George has been in the restaurant business for 22 years. And over the years, Mona watched her mother and grandmother cook for their big family from their own herb and vegetable gardens, learning the value of freshness in cooking.George says. I’ve been excited about NA beer options but they seem to not have that anymore and no one knows why. Food is consistently good, but service has slowed down and it’s frequently very drafty and cold in the dining room.

My wife and I with our adult son went on a Wednesday night. It was a full crowd, luckily we had a reservation. Service was excellent, food and drinks were also. It’s a bit pricey, but the food and service quality justifies the cost. We had chicken parm, flat iron steak, and a salad with grilled shrimp as well as the lettuce wrap appetizer, all great… try the old fashioned on tap… yep on tap!
