Haikan is our second Sapporo Ramen shop in DC after Daikaya. Haikan means, “pipe works” in Japanese, an ode to Atlantic Plumbing Building where we are located. At Haikan, we focused on creating the taste of ramen from the showa period, the golden age of ramen in Japan. There are over 1000 ramen shops in the city of Sapporo alone, and we are excited to share a completely new line-up of traditional Sapporo style ramen in DC. Had a very nice casual lunch. The service was quick and efficient, the lunch food was delicious and I look forward to enjoying a dinner at Petite Cerise.

The food was absolutely delicious. I got the Sassy Goat which was full of flavor and my husband got the Short Rib which was fork tender and delicious. The staff were wonderful and attentive, and the decor was super cute!

We visited for brunch after MagFest. The service was prompt and courteous, the food was pretty great, and we were in a room in the back so it was calm and quiet. Only sad part was they were out of Coffee because apparently someone didn't order enough inventory. Truly shocked a restaurant can be sold out of coffee on Sunday at 1:30pm. Otherwise it was a great time.
