Our earliest childhood memories include making homemade tomato sauce in our Nonna’s driveway located in Corona, Queens. Being apart of five children, we all had our jobs. From cleaning bushels of raw tomatoes to jarring the sauce with fresh basil there was always enough made so you never left Sunday dinner hungry. Tavern 18 is our go-to restaurant. This week we went over three times!! Thursday half price steak night is a great bargain! As always, the food is delicious, the staff are attentive, and the manager Bruno makes it a point to say hello and clearly appreciates his customers. So happy to have this local gem in our neighborhood!!
