Angara stands for “Red Hot Coal”. Need we say more? Discover why we call this classic Indian Restaurant red hot coal. From Tandoori chicken, slathered in yogurt, seasoned with saffron and grilled to succulence in a clay oven to Lamb Vindaloo resonated with peppery heat and vinegary tang, while black lentils cooked in cream raising those legumes to glorious hew heights. The bread—some whispering of mint, other stuffed with sautéed onions or minced lamb—come to the table warm and wonderful. And this is a vegetarian’s paradise. Veg. Tikka Masala, Matar Paneer, bhindi Masala, you name it we got it. If you are a dal lover, do ask for our dal of the day. The food is prepared is home style, we never use any MSG and our customer service is legendry and do try our Mango Chicken. The wide selection of beer and wine specially imported from India makes for a fine experience.

    One of the best dining experiences in all of LA- a truly magical combination of exciting and meticulous technique, confidently showcased fresh ingredients, and an intimate and warmly friendly atmosphere that blends the line between fine dining and something closer to a dinner party that just happens to be presented by a world class team. This was our second time and we will absolutely be back again.

    Overall great experience and food. The appetizers were excellent and the steaks pretty good. We ordered the wagyu tomahawk, wagyu ribeye, dry-aged porterhouse and a few others. Only issue was the porterhouse was cooked Medium, which we told the waiter. We ordered all the steaks medium rare. He tried to convince us it was medium rare but we showed him how there was no red in the middle and the ends of the steak were dried out. Then he stopped but nothing was offered, which was odd to us.

    Have been here a few times and the food is always great and the service is even better. Came here for my wife's birthday and they were more than accommodating to our large group
