Excellent Restaurant to celebrate or just experience magnificent food. For an intimate or small group dinner. Lots of room around the tables. Staff friendly and prompt service. Well worth the dinning experience - view of the city all worked in with the environment of the Restaurant. Entering a building off a laneway into a lift to the restaurant - very Melbourne . Highly recommend.

4th time visiting always enjoy food. Service was slow due to volume of clients. The waitress forgot my wife's drink I asked the barman directly who served our drink. The main server was not happy with this and halfway through our drink came to our table and placed our bill on the table and walked away. We both thought this was rude as we had not asked for the bill. After challenging him he apologised. This however left a bad taste in our mouths and spoilt the end of our evening. Not sure if we'll return now.

In the last-minute rush to book a restaurant on Valentine's Day, Open Table saved the day and we managed to book a table for two at The Pier. The interior is tastefully designed and surprisingly quiet, allowing conversation without having to raise your voice. The menu should satisfy most diners, with dietary preferences catered for. We started with the burrata fresh citrus, pickled fennel jam & fig leaf oil which was delicious and augured well for the meal to come. We accompanied the buratta with the optional wood-fired bred, and I recommend you do too. Our main courses were the Summer Risotto and the Fish of the day (salmon on our visit); both wonderful. Popular choices at neighbouring tables included the Portarlington chilli mussels and the Wagyu bolognese. Political correctness precluded me from tasting what was on my neighbours' plates, but they seemed to enjoy their choices. We ended the meal with chocolate pudding, served with ice cream and macadamia. Another highlight was the friendly, efficient and unobtrusive service. Highly recommended.

Our experience at Meatmaiden was one of perfection, the food and ambience were outstanding but rhe overall experience was topped off by our waiter Logan McBride, who was not only extremely knowledgeable about the menu and drinks list but looked after us in a friendly and efficient manner, he made us feel welcome and in no way could have performed his job better, well done Meatmaiden for employing staff who care

I’m by a regular at the Grosvenor because it’s such value for money. Tuesday night steak & wed Parma night are fantastic!
