Canto do Poeta is a traditional Fado House with traditional Portuguese food. Canto do Poeta means Poet's corner, or poetically The Poet's Song. The poets, who bring Fado to life and reinvent it in their poems are cult figures to whom tribute can be found on the walls of Canto do Poeta, which are filled with original or classic poems, penned and offered by their authors to this venue. It’s a very nice place with excellent service and atmosphere. They specialize in beef. I had the ribeye and vegetables which were seasoned perfectly. Lemon meringue pie for dessert and a banana whiskey that was very smooth

Wonderful decor, book shop and bar in the basement. DJ booth in the toilets - interesting. Try the Wagyu Ribeye - amazing. I wish this restaurant was in London. My go to place in Lisbon, easy to find off avenue liberdade.

Fabulous tasting menu combined with excellent service. The Portuguese wine tasting is also the way to go. Very generous pours. It was a lovely evening with my wife on our anniversary. Would highly recommend.
