Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. Great food, service was initially poor but they had 2 servers out, once we ordered, drinks and food actually came out quite quickly. Food was really good.

The owner was very welcoming,he got us a drink on arrival & said if we didn’t mind waiting 10 mins he would have a great table for us.Which he did right in the corner overlooking the waterfront.Service was as good as the food,excellent..Highly recommend

What a beautiful hidden gem. The food was delicious, venue was also stunning. Great atmosphere in the restaurant, lively but not too loud. Wish we had discovered this sooner as such a good go-to restaurant. We had 3 mains, 2 cocktails and a starter and all were very reasonably priced for good portions. Will definitely be returning many times.
