Located on High Holborn, close to the British Museum, the restaurant is elegantly designed and filled with original Indian art and antique furniture including century old items made for Maharajas which take diners on a journey through Indian culture and history. The menu reflects regional accents with a contemporary viewpoint. It is food that observes the established traditions of Indian cooking but breaks the rules a little by Executive Chef Sohan Bhandari. We were made to feel very welcome. We were a party of ten with 4 teenagers and the staff were outstanding . Our waiter Manot was extremely helpful and enthusiastic as we wanted a selection of dishes. The food was really good and I can highly recommend the samosas, the Palak Patter Chat and the Chilli Paneer. For main course we loved the Masala Fish and Meghan Makhani. Service was excellent. My only other thing to mention was that it’s worth asking for tap water as the still water was pricey and we got through 6 bottles. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely return .

Hidden off Tottenhamcourt Rd this is a real find with an extensive vegetarian menu. Vegan have a menu of their own which is an exciting option not usually available & there are plenty of dishes which overlap. The food is delicious & varied & the service was excellent.
