Water Wheel Tavern is an historic Bucks County landmark originally built in 1714 by John Dyer, an English Quaker. It existed for centuries as a water wheel driven grist mill, and later hosted both a post office and a general store. The Ghost Light Inn’s restaurant, Stella, is inspired by local ingredients from the region’s best farmers and artisans. The restaurant offers 100 seats with indoor and outdoor tables, and private dining spaces for events and gatherings. The outdoor patio displays sweeping views of the Delaware River. The main dining room offers a mix of freestanding tables and booths. During the winter months, reservations for outdoor tables are not available. However, you are more than welcome to make a note in your reservation that you would like to sit outside. The patio is heated.Parking in New Hope can be hard to come by. The parking lot located in front of Stella is owned and operated by the Bucks County Playhouse. Stella cannot validate parking. When valet is present the cost to park is $30. When valet is not available, spaces are metered and paid for via the ParkMobile app. 100% of all parking proceeds directly benefits the betterment of the Bucks County Playhouse.

Wow. Was a bit hesitant when we had dinner there last night as it is under new management plus a pre fix menu. And yet, it blew us away! The service was impeccable from the moment we walked in. And the food, the biggest surprise, may be even better than ever. Each of the items our party of 4 ordered were prepared beautifully and everyone agreed that each dish was delicious! Thought a bit pricey, the food quality and portions are well worth every cent. Truly a wonderful dinner experience and we are looking forward to go back soon!

The drinks and smoothies were healthy, tasty and not too sweet. The food was good. Our server Brandon was very personable, and we enjoyed our time.
