Located within Denver’s historic Tramway Building, originally opened in 1911, The Nickel pays homage to the space that was once used to collect fare from customers riding its resident streetcars: a nickel. Steuben’s is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940’s to the 1960’s on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, proms and sweet sixteens, and more. In its prime, Steuben’s was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene.

I am in town for just a few days and heard about this place from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I loved the retro atmosphere! Our server was perfectly attentive and made great drink recommendations and the drinks were great!! My son and I both had the Connecticut Roll and they were amazing! We will be back on my next visit to Denver!!

Food good. Cocktail disappointing. Service not proactive: empty water glass left unfilled; removed silverware replaced only at the last minute.
