Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant is the second restaurant from fine dining chef Curtis Stone (of Maude) and the first he’s opened with his brother Luke Stone. Gwen is both a European-style, chef-driven butcher shop and a restaurant that is redefining dining in LA, with a menu that calls on fire-based cooking techniques. Whether you’re picking up house-made charcuterie, prime and rare breed meats from the retail store, enjoying a feast in the dining room or relaxing with a bite and cocktail at the bar, Gwen delivers the highest standards of quality, taste and service.On Wednesdays-Sundays, we offer Chef's Carte Blanche 5-course tasting menu for $130 per person (limited quantities available). We are an eclectic Los Angeles restaurant, located in Koreatown, heralded for its creativity and genre-defying cuisine. Their first restaurant together, owners Lien Ta and Chef Jonathan Whitener opened Here's Looking At You in 2016. Named a "Restaurant of the Year" by Food & Wine Magazine and one of Eater National's "38 Most Essential Restaurants," HLAY was also the subject of author Patric Kuh's "Becoming a Restaurateur." After four magical years as a small independent restaurant, COVID-19 would force its forever closure.
