Al Wadi Restaurant will be closed from July 3rd re-opening July 18th for our annual vacation. We apologize for any inconvenience. Al Wadi Boston is a Lebanese restaurant providing the West Roxbury area a unique ethnic food experience. Dinner at Al Wadi Boston can be a thoroughly enjoyable feast with the Mezza variety vegetarian and meat options that both include an amazing array of house specialties and chef selected favorites. Dinner offerings include beef and lamb kebabs, eggplant moussaka and a vegetarian platter. A special delicacy is the pumpkin kibbeh which features two pumpkin puree layers along with spinach, chick peas and onions. Be sure to save room for one of the Al Wadi Boston special desserts including the knefe with its sweet cheese, semolina crust and syrup made from rose water.

Helmand Restaurant offers Afghani dishes with a wood-burning oven where the famous flatbread is cooked on one side of the room and an intimate fireplace is on the other side.Helmand Restaurant entrées include tasty choices like qabelee, which is pallow rice baked with chunks of lamb tenderloin, raisins and glazed carrots or mantwo, a homemade pasta shell filled with beef and onions. If you like spicy dishes, try the koufta challow, consisting of beef meatballs with Afghan seasoning sautéed with sun-dried tomato, hot peppers and green peas in a fresh tomato sauce.     I’ve been a fan of AG for a long time, so I was really excited to try this. I went with my husband and 2 friends and we did family style apps with individual entrees. For apps we got the hummus, tuna tartare, and spicy lamb meatballs. For entrees we got chicken maqluba x2, leg of lamb, and filet mignon with AG fries. Everything was INCREDIBLE!!! So fresh and such bright flavors. All the food I’ve loved my whole life but with an elevated twist. The ambiance was perfect for a date night. The drinks were amazing as well (definitely get the Cleve’s Idol cocktail!). Overall great experience and I hope this becomes a more regular thing!!

    Best burguer ever! Exquisite! The server was super nice and the music great too we arrived at 8:45pm it was perfect the music started around 9:15pm The tuna tartar is also good, and the mezcal drink was my favorite!
