We are from Ottawa and went to Toronto for a few days. It was our first time to Jacobs. We wanted a nice place for an anniversary dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere were superb. We specifically chose Jacobs because it is one of the few high-end steakhouses that serves halal steak, and we were not disappointed. We had the most delicious bone-in ribeye, and the sides were just as good. Their Salmon tartare and Beet salad were also amazing. The staff were also helpful, and knowledgeable and made us feel at ease. Will make it a point to visit again.

We had an incredible experience at Maximes From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely phenomenal—every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the beef tartare, the burrata, the sea bass was a perfect blend of flavor. The dessert menu was equally impressive, with the tiramisu being a true standout. The attention to detail, both in the service and the food, was truly top-notch. This is easily one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. The service and ambiance was great. Notable dishes were the challah and fluke and fennel. The fries were perfectly crispy and the broccoli was very flavourful. However, the ribeye was average, it lacked flavour but cooked properly yo medium rare.

Outstanding. Food was great, service was great. It was my wife's birthday, just the two of us, and I wanted something special. I booked a booth beforehand and let the staff know it was her birthday. We had to change the time of our reservation beforehand - easy process there. When we arrived the booth was set aside, and a birthday card sat on our table. Staff brought her a nice birthday dessert later on. We have been to Earl's at King West several times now. I really recommend it.
