Following the enormous success of Zuma London, Rainer Becker quickly recognised the huge popularity of robatayaki cuisine and opened ROKA Charlotte Street, London in 2004. The principal cuisine comes from the Robata grill. Located amid diners the grill forms an integral design element of all the restaurants but more than being a stunning feature, the robata is truly the heart of ROKA. In 2007, Hamish Brown became the Head Chef of ROKA Charlotte Street. A native New Zealander, Hamish brought with him a great passion for blending the great Asian cuisines that make up the Western Pacific Rim. At ROKA, he has developed the restaurant’s authentic but contemporary menu, fusing his knowledge of Japanese ingredients with his love of quality, seasonal British produce. In 2013, Hamish became Executive Chef of ROKA Group.

    El almuerzo de hoy como siempre en los último 3 años de mi visita por Trabajo a Dubái, fue una experiencia muy agradable. La comida estuvo excelente, bien presentada y con muy buen sabor. El servicio fue atento y rápido, siempre pendiente de los detalles. El ambiente es cómodo y acogedor, con un nivel de ruido adecuado para conversar y cerrar negocios sin problemas. En cuanto al valor, considero que estuvo acorde a la calidad de la experiencia. Definitivamente un lugar que recomiendo y al que mi dos invitados volverían a experimentar.     The waiter was super busy and overwhelmed at the beginning, but the lady that assisted us with the wine went above expectations and was more “Rola standard” but overall it was good. The restaurant week set menu was outstanding.
