Bright and airy, with a vintage retro style and featuring distressed wooden tables topped in white marble, salvage greenhouse window frames and comfy linen banquettes, Salt continues Avoca’s emphasis on serving delicious, seasonal dishes with largely locally sourced ingredients. Salt's name comes its Salthill locale - which itself was derived from salt works that were once here - plus the nearby sea and, of course, the seasoning. First visit but will definitely be back. Food really good & service was excellent. As s group we were the last to leave but absolutely no pressure from Staff for us to go!

Excellent food with the right size portions for a 3 course meal. The complementary small tasty soup is a lovely gesture and all the courses are beautifully presented and taste great. Warm but unobtrusive service and no rushing customers to get the table back. Highly recommended.
