Beautiful coffee, toasties and brunch with an incredible view! There are limited indoor seats available to book but we have blankets available for all our outdoor seating to keep you nice and cosy. For the next few months we will only be taking bookings for our Indoor seats as the weather is a little too unpredictable for the next couple of months. Bright and airy, with a vintage retro style and featuring distressed wooden tables topped in white marble, salvage greenhouse window frames and comfy linen banquettes, Salt continues Avoca’s emphasis on serving delicious, seasonal dishes with largely locally sourced ingredients. Salt's name comes its Salthill locale - which itself was derived from salt works that were once here - plus the nearby sea and, of course, the seasoning. Menus are fresh and interesting (see below), with plenty of appetizing salads and lighter lunch dishes, reasonably priced for the casual mid-week crowd.

Excellent in every way! Three generations of our family enjoyed delicious food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Everything was just right but it was Larry and the other staff who made us feel extra special. Knowledgeable about the food and drinks and attentive, these guys really know what they're doing.

Excellent food with the right size portions for a 3 course meal. The complementary small tasty soup is a lovely gesture and all the courses are beautifully presented and taste great. Warm but unobtrusive service and no rushing customers to get the table back. Highly recommended.
