The food is wholesome and fresh, cooked daily using produce available at the time of the year. Recipes are uncomplicated, easy and quick to prepare, the servings are generous, and the prices always low. The atmosphere in a trattoria is informal– noisy, busy, sometimes hot, But always friendly and welcoming!!!!

    The Hills is my favourite place for a drink. It has a warm, sophisticated vibe (think artwork and candlelight), great selection of wine, sides and gourmet pizza (I particularly recommend the salmon pizza). What really makes this place a winner for me, though, is the service: they are warm, welcoming and really know their wines! I've brought friends many times to The Hills; this evening I brought my parents, and the lovely manager greeted me by name and thoroughly charmed my folks. This bar is one of Melbourne's best.

    Amazing service. Staff took the time to go through the types of meat and offer advice. They were very attentive throughout the night. Food was top notch as well

    A very beautiful place with delicious food. We ordered the seasonal set menu which was delicious, it just didn’t have enough food that we were still hungry after.

    My colleague and I had some beautiful food and excellent coffee, the restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere with the most amazingly friendly staff. Definitely recommend, I shall be back! Thank you Tesoro!
