It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. it was my best friends 30th and we had a reservation. we were seated towards the back with an obstructed view of the stage which is what we were excited to see. there was also a slight chill to our experience as we were seated close to a door that opened quite often. outside of that service was excellent and the food was amazing!

We had an absolute wonderful dinning experience at Ruxton. The combination of phenomenal food, the chance to meet Chef Austin, and the attentive service from GM Jerome and server Karla made the experience memorable. Ruxton is a must for fine dinning. We consider Ruxton one of the best restaurants for fine dinning during our travels.
