Roberto Paciullo opened his namesake restaurant almost twenty years ago. Since then it has become a neighborhood favorite and a destination for those visiting Arthur Avenue. He prepares the cuisine of his beloved hometown Salerno, Italy. We are Kaizen. It all started when longtime friends from Flushing, Queens, came together with an idea that would soon be introduced to their hometown city. They all shared the same love for Japanese traditions and the simplicity, yet, flavorful ingredients that are carefully constructed into each Temaki. Our passion is to bring an authentic and contemporary Temaki (hand rolls) & Omakase concept that highlights delicate hand rolls and artful craft cocktail pairings to Flushing, Queens. The executive chef, Ben, also a former executive chef at Sushi Seki, an Alumnus of Michelin-starred Tim Ho Wan, in Hong Kong, and New York’s O Ya and Kissaki omakase sushi bar. From the decadent rice to each finely cut of fish, Ben takes pride in every individual piece that he prepares.
