The Captain Digby, a family friendly restaurant and bar which caters for all ages & occasions, with sea views overlooking Kingsgate Bay. We serve generously portioned fresh, home cooked food from our bar, restaurant & children's menu. Food is served from 12 noon each day, all day until late check our operating hours before arrival.Choose from our family dining area, close to our indoor play area or our cliff top restaurant with sea views. Alfresco dining is available with 40 benches overlooking the bay but these are non-reservable and work on a first come first served basis. Please note we can not guarantee window tables. We do not allow dogs inside our venue but they are welcome in our outside dining areas. Being so close to the shoreline we tend to have issues regarding internet connections and advise all customers also bring cash as an alternative payment.

Named after probably Broadstairs's most famous previous resident, The Charles Dickens pub and dining rooms in Broadstairs had a complete refurbishment and re opened in the summer of 2012. This is one of the largest pubs in Broadstairs, with the main bar downstairs and the dining room and bars upstairs commanding excellent views of Viking Bay. Apart from the restaurant being exceptionally busy it was a good experience. We did have to wait a while for our dinner to be served but it was because there was a large party for a 30th birthday on. We were given complimentary puddings as a gesture of goodwill because of the wait which was well received. Thank you. 🙏

Beautiful roast chicken and vegetables in charming refurbished restaurant elegant and cosy at the same time and with the backdrop of Viking Bay we'll be back soon

A gorgeous little restaurant. Lovely from the moment we walked in. The staff were fabulous and friendly. Amy chose our dishes and wine pairings for us from the guest chef menu, all of which was incredible and delicious!
