Following the success of his first restaurant in Vauxhall, chef and founder Ajay Chaurasia has opened a second site in Wimbledon, bringing his own personal take on Indian cuisine to South-west London. On offer is a range of lesser-known regional dishes along with plenty of tried-and-tested favourites so there’s something for everyone at this bright and cheerful restaurant. Chaurasia’s aim is to bring together flavours from all over the Indian continent, Sharing appetizers includes the likes of king prawns (Tiltala Jhinga) and sticky tamarind wings with avocado chat - a contemporary spin on the classic street food snack. Bistro Union never disappoints, but today’s lunch was my best experience yet! Dining with my wife, a friend, and one of my sons, we were once again blown away by the quality and variety of the menu. The ingredients are second to none, and the duck breast—truly one of the best I’ve ever tasted. This restaurant is a jewel in the crown of Abbeville Road. The food, service, and ambiance are consistently exceptional, making it a reliable choice every time. Thoroughly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
