Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mindThe idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result a chippy in North London with church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends just fish, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour Split between two rooms, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. The back room - lower lighting, lower seating, a slight calm compared to the front room. Works of art from friends of the restaurant adorn the walls and floors

Always nice to visit, food is good and the staff improving. Definitely value for money and parking not an issue.

Excellent Sunday Roast. Good Beer. Very good, polite and excellent staff. Will call again in the near future. If we were local it would be a regular visit. Also easy to park.....
