We've been serving the people of Braintree and beyond since 2015 and in that time have humbly become ‘one of Essex’s best restaurants.’ We have received recognition from the AA, having been awarded an AA Rosette for ‘culinary excellence’ for five consecutive years, and then in 2023 we received our second rosette, putting the restaurant amongst the top 10 restaurants in Essex. Our food is of course one of our main focuses, but we don’t just stop there. A new landlady with a lovely personality. There weren't many people eating the weekday evening we went so it lacked atmosphere. There were 4 of us, the food was good but it wasn't consistent across all 4 plates. We would eat here again.

Excellent service with very polite, friendly and attentive staff who were very helpful in advising one of the party who had dietary requirements. We all ate from the set menu which gave a good choice of interesting dishes. All the food was very well cooked, delicious and well presented. The restaurant has a pleasant , friendly atmosphere without being noisy. Good value for money and very close to car parking. Can thoroughly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyable lunch for 4 :- 1.Ham, eggs & Chips 2.Sea Bass, Crushed new potatoes, veggies 3.Cheesy cottage pie 4.Fishfinger sandwich with salad, chips All lovely. We will be returning to eat again.
