August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and SpainAugust is open for dinner from 5pm on Wednesday - Saturday, and from 12pm for Sunday Lunch.     Fabulous experience at Essa yet again! Adrien & Maggie were purely delightful and we really enjoyed their impeccable level of service! Adrien is such an amazing Sommelier and his knowledge of wine is next level! Set menu was not what we had anticipated (we weren’t advised of it when we booked months ago), however it was divine and incredible value. Wow, just, what a fabulous evening and we will be back for sure!

    When I booked, I choses an outdoor setting, however, as the weather turned, I asked for an inside table - As it turned out, it would have been perfectly fine outside. The staff were attentive, polite and helpful. I was surprised when a decorated plate of icecream turned up with a candle and they sang Happy Birthday to me. The food was 'top shelf' and we will certainly be back!

    We LOVE coming here with our big family!! Its such a good price for our big family and the food is amazing always !! P.s best chips n nuggets ever !! The staff are really lovely and its just the perfect place for family dinner with the kids !!

    Delicious food, friendly and helpful service. It was quite noisy though. Maybe the acoustics, or perhaps just very loudly spoken customers. Outdoors might be better.
