August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows.     Fun dining, reasonable prices and great food You are presented with a huge menu with pictures of the food and then an order form that you complete yourself. The food comes out in a random order but was all very good. Service was fine.

    We had a wonderful pizza and pasta night out with the family. The complimentary bread and cheese were a lovely touch. There were nine of us, and the bill worked out to be $26 per person, which was very reasonable. If everyone had ordered drinks, it would have been around $30 per person—still great value for a dinner out. The food was delicious, and we even had some pizza to take home. Service was excellent; we didn’t have to wait long for our meals or drinks. The young waitress looking after us was delightful and attentive. The restaurant was super busy, so we were glad we booked a table in advance—otherwise, we might have had a long wait. We requested an outdoor table, which kept the noise level down and made for a more relaxed dining experience. Overall, it was a fantastic evening celebrating our granddaughter’s birthday. Highly recommend this place!
