Plantsville's well-known Old Mill is now New Mill Restaurant, featuring the culinary talents of its new Executive Chef, Bob Martucci. This lovely 1737 cider mill has been a Connecticut favorite for many years, and has now completely renovated by its owners, Chris and Michelle Calvanese. Menu specialties include fresh-only seafood and raw bar selections, "chop house" Angus steaks, and homemade pastas and desserts. Monica was our server and she was outstanding! Three of us done out monthly and we tried New Mill last night and was not disappointed!! I had the Maple Glazed Pork Chop and it’s cooked just right and was the best ever. The other entrees were crab stuffed cod and a home made cavatelli pasta with grilled chicken and those were also excellent. I topped off my meal with a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. Wow! Definitely going back!!

Wow. Although located where it was, it's not the Waverly Inn anymore! It is so updated and light and bright! The food was spectacular. From the calamari app through the main course of Bolognese and Branzino Fish, it was fresh and a wonderful combination of flavors. Excellent wine selection and a full bar. We will not hesitate to go back there.

The wait staff was wonderful, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We had delicious food (apps and mains), and we were able to catch up with friends, feeling welcome and without feeling rushed. It's a great spot we've been to before...and we'll return to it again!
