Solanche, Richard and the rest of The Royal Oak team are extremely proud to offer Michelin starred dining in rural Warwickshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds.Our food offering is what we like to call ‘proper country food’- wild meats and foraged ingredients from our home area. Our aim is simple: we want to tell the story of our community, the producers themselves and how we’ve utilised their ingredients.Sometimes a dish will be on the menu for a six week period, fully celebrating the early or late season. Conversely a dish may be fleeting - a week, a service or even just for a single table of regulars - a micro-seasonal snapshot, which gets us thinking and talking with our local community of producers about next years planting or hunting, allowing us to dream about revisiting an idea and developing it further the following year.

We are open for our full a la carte restaurant service from Monday to Saturday each week with tables from 18:00 until 20:30. We are closed for dinner on Sunday, but the bar is open. We offer lunches daily and our wonderful Sunday lunch has tables from 12:00 until 16:00. The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders. Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. Absolutely fabulous from when you walk through the door to when you leave after having enjoyed great food, in a warm setting where the background noise is just right to ensure you can still enjoy a lively conversation with friends. We had a warm welcome, were seated promptly with a menu so delicious we committed to go back for more! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful and continued throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great as always with portion size just right and at the end of the evening the bill was extremely good value for money.

Farmhouse was everything I expected and everything everyone told me to expect. The food, the service was to die for & I’ll most definitely be making a return very soon. If you’re wondering if you should take that trip down to farmhouse, DO IT.

A wonderful country find in a tiny village. The restaurant is definitely one to savour local farm to table, foraging and local game delicacies and each course was delicious. Staff are friendly, informative and welcoming and on a cold snowy night provided hot water bottles for each table to ensure we were sufficiently warm.

I had the vegetarian choices at The Kitchen which were delicious especially the Pumpkin steak main course! The staff were very friendly and professional. I loved the ambience and decor.
