The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. To the right is a cosy eating area with wheelback chairs-- ideal for a banquette with friends around a few long tables.

The Union is a modern British restaurant, cocktail and wine bar set in a beautiful 15th century building in the heart of Rye. Our menu is made up of small and large plates which we recommend sharing across the table.     Second visit to the Tiger Inn, really enjoyed the food and definitely recommend, would suggest to order more sides for the main as I ordered the pie and mash and wasn’t quite enough mash 😁 The chocolate brownie was delicious.

    First time I have visited The Ferry since the opening of their new dining room. What a great extension to the pub and clearly helps with service from the kitchen The roast beef was excellent and overall the Sunday lunch was reasonable value at £60 per head including service and drinks

    A thoroughly exceptional meal from beginning to end. The attention to detail and craft across all our plates was truly wonderful. The wine recommendations were spot on from a wine list that starts with a whole page of local wines. The staff were superb, clearly as passionate about the food and overall experience as we were.
