The Rabbits is a family friendly gastro pub & restaurant in the heart of the essex countryside. We pride ourselves on good friendly service and good quality homecooked food with our seasonal menus, we serve real ales, fine wines & premium spirits. We have a great beer garden where you can take in the picturesque views whilst not having to go too far to order any food or drink as this can all be done at our garden bar which is also playing background music around our garden, this is open Thurs-Sunday throughout the spring/summer weather permitting. We had a lovely Sunday roast meal to celebrate my mum‘s birthday. The food was lovely and the staff were really friendly and helpful without being overbearing. We will definitely go back.

Delicious food and well thought out flavours - really impressed with the interesting dishes & pairings. You really can tell the quality of the ingredients. Lovely staff & relaxed, stripped back atmosphere. A real treat!

We had an enjoyable lunch at the 'spirits tasting ' event, the starter was particularly good. We were given a voucher as a gift and had not previously dined at Haywards. We enjoyed the fixed lunch menu and the presentation from Adam representing Essex Spirits. However, we would have preferred a wine tasting experience as we rarely drink spirits.
