We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. We had sunday lunch , It was fab, but we did have a couple of the vegetables stated on the menu missing from our plates.

The food was outstanding. All meals were delicious and well presented. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have been a few times now and will definitely return. Loved the Christmas decorations too. Very festive
