Carnegie Diner & Café offers limited reservations 30% only and 70% walk in. We are brand new and we like to accommodate all of you. Carnegie Diner features an extensive all-day breakfast menu in addition to serving a wide selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, steaks, fresh fish, pastas, desserts and more. All day breakfast items include a Classic Benedict with optional addition of lobster, Avocado Toast, a BLT Quinoa Bowl with chopped bacon and poached eggs, Steak and Eggs, and three eggs any style served with hash browns and bread. There are a dozen types of pancakes, decadent waffles and French Toast offered. The restaurant also features a full page of plant-based options.     We were in town to see A Christmas Carol and made reservations well in advance. The pork ribs were fantastic and my husband loved his shrimp and grits!

    Wow!!!! Service 10/10 Ayanna was great! Deshaun was awesome showed us the private area and the food was intoxicating! The chef brought out some trinity spring rolls that was so good I wanted to cry. Overall 10/10 A must try if you’re in DC

    This is a nice restaurant; however, service was not particularly attentive, one of us didn't get the meal they ordered, and almost everything in every dish had WAY TOO MUCH pepper in it to be truly enjoyable. A true shame because the overall quality of the food, otherwise, was quite good. Generous portions for each of the 4 dishes we ordered. Nice presentation. Just too much pepper.

    Great ambiance and service! I had the seafood salad and the grilled shrimp and chunks of crab were delicious and there was a nice combination of bacon, eggs, cucumber and tomatoes on a lightly dressed bed of kale as well. The presentation was delightful to the eye and composed beautifully. I will look forward to another visit in the future!
