    It was our 5 year anniversary and I requested a window seat. When we showed up the hostess rudely said Happy Anniversary you requested a window seat and we do not have any available unless you wanted to wait an hour. She was rude and not very nice. When we sat down in a crowded area of the middle of the restaurant I could see about 4 tables by the window set up and not occupied. It did not set the mood wry well and we drove 1 hour and 45 to dine there. Thankfully our waitress was super nice!

    Outstanding service, food, and ambience…we had the fiery ahi and the scallops & shrimp! The service was amazing, especially the bartenders who were very gracious and warm as we waited for our table!!! Plan to go again soon!!!!

    Amazing experience, great view, great waiter, great staff, great food. Spent around $500 and it was well worth it.

    The view of the city and ambience cannot be beat, though the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waiter my husband and I had appeared to lack any interest or passion, despite it being my birthday. Barely got one order of an appetizer in before they ran off and that was more or less the entire vibe of the evening. Rushed and left alone for a great deal of time while everyone else had better interactions with their waiters and I couldn’t get a birthday song while another table did. Sorry to be an inconvenience? The Food was fantastic, at least! I suppose you should come here with bigger groups or lower your expectations while just dining with one other person. I appreciate the meal despite the lack of hospitality. I think next time I’ll go somewhere else for future anniversaries, birthdays, and dinner dates as I expected more out of the service from Portland City Grill.

    My daughter’s birthday lunch. We both agreed it was one of the best meals we have ever had. It deserves at least 10 stars. Our waiter, Harold, was excellent. The view, incredible. The place is beautiful. Lunch turns out to be a special bargain, because it is their slow time and a window table was easily available.

    Food came out cold and took forever to get, service was very slow and multiple times we seemed to be forgotten about and had to ask for certain things several times. It took over an hour to receive our food which had to be sent back because it was cold. Manager came over and comped half our meal which was nice but for a fine dining restaurant, I expect a lot better service and food to be hot and fresh, as well as not take over an hour to get. Pretty disappointed…
