    Service was outstanding. Sea bass with lobster risotto was wonderful. We even had a window table. Really lovely dinner.

    A Portland institution that maintains its relevancy while blending the old with the new. The service is wonderful, the quality of the food is reliable and the views are beautiful. Thank you Portland City Grill for the tradition.

    The Chilean Seabass was excellent, along with the beet salad and the wonderful flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Our waiter was most helpful in making suggestions for my dietary issues. Sitting next to the window, even on a rainy day was beautiful. I highly recommend Portland City Grill for their outstanding service, excellent food, and of course, the view!

    I had a 7:15pm reservation and we arrived at 6:45pm to check in. We were no seated at our table until 8:15pm. We waited in the bar and it took 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us to order a drink. Which took another 20 minutes to get. We were able to order one more as we were seated. They were out of several items on the menu, the waitress was pleasant, but not very attentive. They clearly overbooked and were understaffed. The food was mediocre. I had the Jambalaya which was soupy and very sweet like it was full of sugar. My wife had the Tofu dish which was also very sweet. The atmosphere was nice, but food and service need work and it could be an amazing place.

    Wedding Anniversary Celebration! We arrived and waited in the lounge for a window table and are so glad we did. Wonderful view! We can recommend the Lobster Bisque and the Lamp Chops. Our server, Daniel, was marvelous and was supported by Laurel, who was a gem. Bethany in the lounge was very good and really took care of us.

    Great wait staff. Very busy Friday before Christmas. We would have . enjoyed this leisurely 2 hr dinner if we had more time. There were a few long gaps between drinks & courses that were didn’t anticipate. Staff accommodated us being able to box up our meals so we could leave in time for our show.

    Our hostess and server provided a wonderful dining experience. We were celebrating a birthday and they made my mother feel taken care of a special. It was a wonderful time.
