Portland opened in 2015 and received a Michelin star the same year - which we have retained to this day. We try to offer the best contemporary example of fine dining in London – the finest produce we can find cooked with precision and a high level of technique led by our executive chef Stuart Andrew and head chef Chris Bassett and his team.

We offer a la carte and also a Tasting Menu at lunch and dinner.

Wine is as important as food and service at Portland. Our main wine list aims to offer brilliant value on interesting, different wines which we hope you seldom see on restaurant wine lists. Our Single Bottle List contains bins of some of the world’s finest wines and also more accessible offerings from our favourite producers.

Apart from the main restaurant, we hope that our private room and its offer of secluded and separate dining is just the thing for special family events or business meetings.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of our restaurant we are offering a special tasting menu at £55. Leaning on classic dishes from our first decade and centred around our iconic Beef Wellington, this offers a chance to experience Portland’s menu at a very special price. THE MENU WELCOME SNACKS Macaron of mushroom and Parmesan Crispy chicken skin, liver parfait, candied walnuts, Muscat grapes FIRST COURSE Heritage carrots with a Tunworth cheese sauce, salsify and brioche MAIN COURSE Highland beef wellington, caramelised onion puree and Bordelaise sauce SERVED WITH Winter leaves, buttermilk, green sauce and lemon Pink fir potatoes and warm tartare sauce DESSERT Apple tarte tatin, rum and raisin

Menù degustazione molto buono! I piatti si vede che c’era una ricerca estremamente particolare! Accoglienza veramente cordiale ! Personale gentilissimo e complimenti a tutto lo Staff!

Friendly and fun staff. Great food and wine paring was really great. Had a fun and lovely evening. Will for sure be back next time in London.

Another great afternoon was spent at Portland Restaurant. The menu featured plenty of new dishes reflecting seasonal flavours as well as some old favourites. Service, as always, was fantastic.

Very lovely place, kind crew. We were there to celebrate my birthday. A birthday card was waiting for me when arrived. Very nice gesture. However, the food was not at the level that we were expecting. My main was almost cold when served. The wine sediments were in our glasses which is also not nice to see and expect to see in a good restaurant when wine is served. overall it was a lovely night. Would I go again? Probably not.

A w expérience from all perspectives starting with the finest food, delicate and full of flavors at the same time. very nice and balanced tasting menu! from canapé to post dessert! it has been a real festival. warm and professional service. great to sit close to the kitchen. love the paintings of Tom Hammicks. worth the trip! I will come back !

Lovely restaurant with a great cosy vibe. Unfortunately for the price we didn't think the food was quite up to standard. The beef had a large bit of sinew for both me and my partner – I've never eaten at a Michelin starred restaurant where 1/4 of the beef was too tough to chew before! And the wine while tasty had a large amount of sediment when we got to the end of bottle which was very unpleasant to have a mouthful of. The service was good - especially the birthday card and gift – but a tad too relaxed. Our server almost charged us for dessert despite there being a dessert course included on the tasting menu. The host was great though and recommended some lovely bars for us to check out.
