   Perfect & ethereal - I celebrated my birthday there last night and the whole staff was amazing. I let them know. It was my birthday ahead of time and received Casa wine ceviche which was amazing and a decadent black truffle for dessert.  The decor was gorgeous. I love the food. My pork chop melted in my mouth.

   We’ve eaten at Posana a few times on special occasions so we were hoping to celebrate our daughter’s birthday in the same way. Unfortunately, this visit fell short. After placing our order, I moved to a different seat because the vent was right under me, and our server asked if I planned to stay there like a mother to a child. When I asked about the pasta dishes, she had to refer to the menu to answer, which didn’t inspire confidence. I chose a mushroom pasta dish that was carried over from a previous menu, but it ended up being a poor choice—it wasn’t tasty at all. My husband and daughter ordered the trout, which they described as “fine” but nothing special. By the time the server returned to check on us, my family had about finished their meal. I asked the server to box my meal and mentioned I wished I had ordered the other dish. The server then made a point of saying to the entire table that I shouldn’t be embarrassed to send something back, which felt infantilizing. They brought me a different pasta, which was better, but after two desserts and a coffee, with no drinks, the bill was nearly $200. Considering the experience, it just didn’t feel worth it this time. To top it off, not one mention of my daughter’s birthday. We are locals and will try again, as our past visits were fantastic, and we’re hoping this was just an off night. Unfortunately, while you can’t always control the kitchen, our server didn’t seem fully trained for the level of service expected at this type of restaurant.

   Wonderful service and food. My daughter is celiac and we were so excited that everything on the menu is made in a GF safe kitchen. Elevated dining experience and would definitely return.

   There is no better dining experience in Asheville. This is gluten free dining at its pinnacle! The food, service and atmosphere are all extraordinary. Not to be missed.

   We had a number of appetizers and made it a grazing meal. Everything we had was outstanding. We shared the soup of the day which was a curried coconut and chickpea soup, delicious. We also had brussel sprouts which my husband won't usually eat but actually enjoyed them. We had mushrooms, pork belly and gnocchi too. There was nothing we had that made us regret our choices. I just ate too much because it was so good. The wine choices by the glad are really good too. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We'll go back for sure
