   Chef Casey, is an inspiration sharing his life story as an immigrant. Pursuing his American culinary dreams here in Katy. Support local businesses within the community. His dishes pay tribute to his family heritage in Africa, as well as to his wife’s country of Argentina. Absolutely amazing presentation and delicious dishes. Setting off the dinning experience with fabulous cocktails and live music from a saxophonist. Great way to set the mood! Highly recommend - bon appétit

   I highly recommend this restaurant. Food is A+ and service is A++. Best service I’ve had in my 7 years in Houston. Recommend the oxtails or curry. We also liked the whole fried fish with sakuma. Ugali and fufu are super authentic. Can’t say enough good things. Also got to meet the chef who was very kind and hospitable. Look forward to going back and trying more things on their expansive menu.

   We LOVED Astor’s Table! From the moment we walked in, we felt special. Kiana was a very attentive and kind waitress, who guided us perfectly to the food that fit each of our tastes. The chef dropped by to talk to us - he is a lovely man with obvious skills in the kitchen. Each dish had complex flavor and was absolutely delicious! We will be back! Side note - for those that love heat, their peri peri sauce is the perfect addition to your meal (and you can buy a bottle to take home).

   We went for brunch. Food was good. French toast was too soggy for me. Portions were generous. Mimosas were tasty. I would return to try more of their menu as it is a large menu.

   Came here for girls night. My friends and I were so excited to come because their website said they would have a live band, reverse happy hour/drink specials from 6-10pm. When we got there, there was no live music. When we asked about the drink specials or live music the staff was not aware. We did speak to the manager who was very nice and apologetic. Drink specials were honored and margaritas were very good. The service was good. We were just disappointed overall. The food was cold. I ordered the ceviche. They didn't have it. My friend asked for a dish they also didn't have it. We felt like we were being rushed. Our reservation was at 830pm. Promotion was until 10pm mind you, and they were picking up the restaurant at 9pm...doubt we will return.

We sincerely apologize for the miscommunication regarding the live music and drink specials. While we’re glad our manager was able to honor the specials and that you enjoyed the margaritas and service, we regret that other aspects of your experience fell short.    The staff was very welcoming and quickly solved our reservations misunderstanding. The food was good, but nothing exceptional.

    Purchased the advertised special. The place was beautifully decorated but uncomfortably cold that other postings could be hard complaining, finally the heat was turned on or ac turned off. We were first in the special dining space for at least 25 minutes before joined by other patrons, order for drinks And food were taken first (from the very simple predefined menu - chefs choice) however the other couple served before us each time. The menu was confusing / giving mixed messages.. a 4 course meal (one area says each course was paired with a wine) but in reality a 3 course meal the required am additional 79 each for wine pairing. When I inquire. The waitress admitted they had much difficulty the day before from the misprint, she informed the manager who did honor it. Fortunately so because it was the best part of the meal and experience. I opted for the Chilean sea bass. Delightfully flavor but literally a small strip of cold meat. Fortunately I don't eat a lot. My honey had the steak, ordered well for. But got medium rate or medium well..idk it was too pink and the cut off just was almost nothing but fat. We went home hungry needless to say. I typically don't write negative reviews. Saw all the positive ones and chose this place for a different palate and experience. Unfortunately it was money wasted, all paid upfront with the reservation. Oh.. and automatically gratuity says it's charged on parties of 6 or more... but we were different charged for just the 2 of us. I end up Tipping the waitress more in cash because the earnestly tried. I wish the was a way to post pictures so you can be the judge.
