Strange Delight takes its influence from the cuisine of New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Its menu, from Chef Ham El-Waylly, consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. A rotating selection of larger plates features items such as Roasted Ora King Salmon and Blackened Swordfish Belly. To drink, Strange Delight updates New Orleans classics, serving a festive Hurricane and Ramos Gin Fizz service for two, alongside your standbys - Martinis and Sazeracs. Our wine and beer lists feature our favorite American producers.

Centered around a beautiful custom bar, The Back Room features a number of configurations to accommodate your party. The use of color, mirrors, and coat hooks is a hat tip to the classic dining rooms of New Orleans. The expansive skylights also create an airy, spacious room that’s warm, inviting, & comfortable. The front room, or Kitchen, pays homage to the classic oyster counter found throughout the U.S. It’s multi-color marble bar top holds seats for nine, viewing the open kitchen. High top counter tables line the walls, perfect for perching with a cocktail. The Kitchen is only available as a standalone venue for days and meal periods the restaurant is not otherwise open. Minimum spend is determined based on time of day, day of week, and duration.

Full buyouts offer the most customizability of our offerings. The Kitchen/Front Room is the perfect pre- and post-party hang for snacks and drinks before an evening of revelry in The Back Room. We're able to accommodate a range of possibilities during a full buyout, so please let us know if you have a particular vision in mind. Buyouts are available seven days a week for all meal periods and replace regular service. Minimum spend is determined based on time of day, day of week, and duration.
