Our server was so sweet! It was super busy than their normal Sunday due to the rain! But he still took care of us & was personal to our taste! We had so many questions about the menu & he even offered other restaurants to go to while we’re visiting in Savannah! The cornbread, duck, merguez, oysters, & duck meringue were excellent! Definitely will be returning during the summer season!

Our service was beyond excellent. Our party of 5 enjoyed our meals. The fish of the day was delicious as was the steak. Don’t skip on the corn bread and ask Kelly for the best wine to pair with your meal. He knows what he’s talking about.

Nice farm to table menu. Our food was prepared as ordered. The cocktails were nice, but they could step up their cocktail program, a bit limited. Wine list looked nice and probably more of a focus to pare with the food menu. Service was nice, timely and attentive. Overall a good experience.

Consistently good. Their waitstaff is the best in Savannah. We usually have Kelly, but tonight had PJ and he was phenomenal as well. Food is fantastic.

We went for apps and drinks before a wedding. Great food and service, we are ready to go back for mains. The food was fresh, great flavors- we loved the cauliflower and oysters

We enjoyed a meal at the 1540 restaurant in Savannah at the Desoto Hotel recently. Our meals were very good and the service was excellent. It’s a bit pricey but we felt that our meals were generally delicious. We had oysters to start and were not impressed with them, at four dollars a piece they were the tiniest oysters I have ever had, and they were all topped with a frozen fruit topping, that we ended up scraping off because it was not nice frozen ( I don’t think it was supposed to be frozen) and actually over powered the taste of the oysters. So with that as our starters we were a bit concerned about how the mains would taste. However, we were both very happy with our delicious main course. With tip and two glasses of wine our meal came to about two hundred dollars for two adults.

One of Savannah's very best. I was shocked to learn the kind of cuisine they sold as I thought it was your typical southern fare. I couldn't be more wrong. This is true world cuisine with spices from all corners of the world. Their steak tartare is among the best I've ever bad. Their pastrami rubbed duck is sensation. And their desserts are second to none. Truly things you won't find anywhere else. Kelly, the server, I've had many times and he is a true gem.

El servicio fue excelente el mesero súper atento y los tragos perfectos. Creo que fue porque reservé a las 8:30pm y cierran a las 9pm pero la comida dejó mucho que desear, estaba fría. El precio, servicio, ambiente y tragos 10/10, pero la comida 1/10.

I really can’t say that this restaurant has anything unique to offer, whether it’s value, or Best Buy;,... or whether it’s the originality of the menu,... the seasonings,. I will say that the service was excellent. The hostess was not so good unfortunately, but the rest of the servers and so forth were excellent.
