   Considering 1906 is the Turnberry’s signature restaurant, the whole experience was disappointing. First of all, I would like to point out that the whole time we were in the restaurant, there were no more than 8 tables (2 of 4 diners and 6 of 2 diners) and at least 10 members of staff. The table we were seated at wasn’t properly set up so we had to ask for cutlery and a serviette. We ordered and requested side orders with the chateaubriand. We constantly had to ask for things that had been ordered and forgotten - my husband’s drinks twice had to be reminded, our chateaubriand arrived and the waiter asked if we wanted any side orders with it. We had already ordered sides so had to wait for them while our food got cold. Neither of us wanted to just eat meat. Our side dishes arrived and were put behind us on another table and just left until someone else came over and gave us them. I couldn’t actually see this but, my husband said that this system happened with all food that came into the restaurant. The presentation of the chateaubriand left a lot to be desired considering you pay £120 for it. We asked a few times for the bill. It eventually arrived and we left. The staff left a lot to be desired - the best person was the man who took my coat to the cloakroom and who ran after us to retrieve it for me as we left. We were in Scotland for my 60th birthday and thought we’d eat at 1906 as part of the celebrations. Never again

   We were in a corner table adjacent to an open area with a Private party adjacent to- very very noisy . We asked to move and eventually were moved to the other side of the room . The table was also where the wine waiter kept all his bottles so it was a very busy corner - not great I’m afraid .

   Amazing dinner at 1906 on Saturday during a stay at Trump Turnberry with my family. The meal was outstanding and the service was 5 star. Cant wait to visit again soon.

   Very bright, no ambiance, no music, no romance or experience attached to it. Very disappointing dining experience. However the staff were all lovely! Really friendly and helpful. Waited a few times and food came out very quickly between courses so little time to chill between each course.

   We have been at Turnberry many times but last night was definitely the best one yet. Food was 10/10 and our server Mo was extremely attentive, warming and provided an outstanding service! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

   I had questions about the menu. The young lady was unable to answer those questions but did come back to me after speaking to the kitchen staff. Our starters which was the crab and prawn cocktail was okay. Not outstanding. For the main course I had fish which was delicious as was the sauce. However, it said in the menu that there was puréed cauliflower which was not in the meal. I did ask about this and was told that someone from the kitchen would come to see me regarding this. That never happened so still not sure why that was missing? Hubby had the steak which he said was cooked to perfection. We shared the cheese board for dessert which was lovely. Overall we really enjoyed our meal. The staff were lovely.

   Two of our party had sirloins medium well good size steak but tasteless no seasoning and not much char missing that overall grilled steak taste and also tough , another had the fillet and same thing applied tasteless we were very disappointed considering the setting and the promise of fine dinning it was far short of expectations , the service was ok but again not fine dinning server looked anxious and was shaking so much we were worried he was going to drop the tray then just pilled plates up at end and took away like in a standard restaurant never even noticed that we had left half our steaks Never asked if everything was ok but we told them and nothing was done just took plates away . we love the hotel but this has really put a question mark in wither we would eat in the 1906 again It really put a dampener on our evening !

    Stunning venue. Had birthday breakfast for my mums 70th & it was just fabulous.
