For over twenty-five years, Lovin' Oven Celebrations, Long Island's & Manhattan's premiere caterer, has built their reputation on superb cuisine, elegant locations and refined staff. Their newest venture, the elegant 21 Main Steakhouse, encompasses all these things. Set in the Plantation House at North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach. Gerard Scollan and his brother Matthew have captured the glamor and service of an era gone by - with a modern twist.                                                                           21 Main is one of our favorite fine dining restaurants. We have celebrated Thanksgiving at this restaurant for the past four years and have enjoyed our experience, service, and the food each time. Normally, I would rate 21 Main as a 5-star restaurant; however, a few items were off the mark this year. For a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect everything to be on target. Let me start by saying that the server, Roy, was knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. He made our Thanksgiving dinner very enjoyable. We did not voice our opinions below about the items we didn't like to Roy, as we felt this was out of his control. Hoping management can review and make changes if they feel led. For the food: Items we loved, the Butchers Block Prime Bone-in Pork Chop was excellent, as were the sides of mushrooms and asparagus. The Thanksgiving dinner was good, next time I will request a little extra gravy on the side for the dressing; the turkey was very tender and flavorful, but the stuffing lacked in flavor. As for the spirits, the Fish Whistle was excellent, loved the muddled flavors. The Pineapple Cilantro was good, but would love more of a muddled option like that of the Fish Whistle. Items we would not likely order again, the Parmesan Baked Shrimp, as they were raw, tough, and not properly deveined. Enjoyed the shrimp from previous years, traditional large shrimp cocktail. The Beef Carpaccio was okay, but wasn't particular to the presentation, it looked like worms in the dim light. The 21 "BLT" Wedge salad wasn't a wedge, but a round, and was to be served with Thousand Island dressing rather than Blue Cheese Dressing (thankfully, Roy offered us another option). The Apple Bread Pudding was good, a bit dryer than usual, could have used a few more nuts and a bit more ice cream for our liking. Hoping this review is helpful for the restaurant, as we love 21 Main and will definitely be back for our next holiday or family celebration. Thank you
