Our waterfront restaurant features locally inspired Eastern North Carolina cuisine with fresh local seafood, hand cut steaks, and seasonal ingredients. 34° North is renowned for its cuisine which is rooted in local farms and pristine waters.

Our menus grant guests a passport to experience delicious locally inspired cuisine and hand-crafted specialty cocktails amidst a relaxed island setting overlooking Taylor’s Creek.

34° North, serves breakfast, lunch, and upscale dinner daily.

34° North captures the island ambiance unique to its Beaufort locale. Dine inside or on the outdoor patio, a covered open-air dining space overlooking Taylor’s Creek and Rachel Carson Reserve, home to over 30 amazing wild horses. The outstanding island views constantly change. Reservations are recommended at all times and outside seating is by request and is not guaranteed.

Love love LOVE 34 North!!! And this visit did not disappoint! The bartender was a welcoming sight and excellent service. Our waitress was EXCELLENT, beyond words can describe! We were continually asking for more bread and had what I thought were some odd requests. She never blinked an eye and was a true treasure to 34 North!! We’ll definitely be back!

Service was outstanding! Other than that…our experience was very disappointing. We made a reservation for Christmas Day and to celebrate my birthday. We were not told of the VERY LIMITED MENU or the automatic 20% gratuity. The filet was ordered med rare… came out.. well and extremely charred. Three tiny limp pieces of asparagus and five halves fingerling potatoes. Nothing was seasoned. My pork chop was cooked to order, but very fatty. Macaroni cheese was cold and very well could have been out of a box. Overall very disappointing and underwhelming.

It was not a good night for the restaurant. They were understaffed and running a Christmas dinner. Table wasn’t ready at our reserved time. Once we were seated we waited 20 minutes before seeing our server. The person who brought out our wine couldn’t use the decorker and had to take it to the back to get the cork out. Both glasses were then filled for tasting. The white wine was room temperature. We got a chiller after asking for it. Not what would be expected for >$100/bottle. The appetizers arrived as the wine was being poured. With that said, the servers were quite pleasant, just overwhelmed. We recieved multiple offers for free desserts with each glitch of which there were many.

Nice restaurant and service was great. Appreciate those working the holidays. Food was good. Small portions but typical of a nice restaurant.

We usually love being at the restaurant but the service was off today. Somewhat disappointed because the service is usually perfect.

We visited Beaufort Hotel as a getaway over the Holiday. Recognizing that dining options would be limited, we booked dinner on Christmas Eve, breakfast on Christmas Day as well as dinner that afternoon. Christmas Eve dinner was overpriced for our meals (obviously in our opinion). We did not walk away with a "that was a fantastic meal" kind of feeling. When we learned that their Christmas Day dinner was identical, we resorted to the only other option in town after doing a lot of research - pretty terrible Chinese. We both love the Hotel, but will be more careful in making sure that other dining options are available for future visits.

The food was good, the service could have been speedier, but it was a holiday and they appeared to be understaffed. The reservation system was terrible. We arrived for our 7 PM reservation at 7 PM and were told they were running behind. We were seated 35 minutes later. The bar and waiting area were chaotic. A party of 6 +/- that arrived 20 minutes after our party of 3 were seated shortly after their arrival while we waited another 15 minutes and were repeatedly told our table was being cleaned. While the staff was apologetic, they didn't have a solution, indicating that our table had been assigned to us prior to our arrival and we couldn't be seated at another table even if one became available.
